five films with a view of the sea in Sète

Five films are being offered from August 16 to 20, in the unique setting of the Théâtre de la Mer.

For the fourth year, the Théâtre de la Mer is hosting “Le cinéma de la mer”. Five open-air cinema evenings, shows, short films filmed in Occitanie, and concerts by local and regional artists are offered to the public. 4,800 spectators gathered in 2023. Ask for the program.

Friday August 16

Concert : Chamacos (latin groove)
Film: En fanfare (preview) by Emmanuel Courcol (2023/France/VF/1h40). An internationally renowned conductor learns that he was adopted and discovers he has a brother, Jimmy, a school canteen employee who plays the trombone in a marching band in the north of France. On the surface, everything separates them, except their love of music.

Tuesday August 20
Concert: La fille du sable (original French song and mixed jazz)
Film: The Count of Monte Cristo, by Matthieu Delaporte & Alexandre de la Patellière (2024/France/2h50). Victim of a conspiracy, young Edmond Dantès is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years of detention at the Château d’If, he managed to escape. Having become immensely rich, he returns under the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him. Doors open at 8:15 p.m., concert at 8:45 p.m., screenings start at 9:30 p.m.
