The 8th round of the French Football Cup therefore has its new little thumbs. While four district clubs were still in the running this weekend, including Fief-Gesté (D2), none managed to advance to the next round. Valence FC (Drôme) and Le Touquet ACFCO (Pas-de-Calais), residents of Regional 3, the eighth French level, will therefore occupy this role for this last round before the entry into the running of Ligue 1 clubs.
For this, Valence achieved the feat of taking out Marignane Gignac, a club playing in National 2 (1-0). An appetizer for the teammates of captain Sophiane Guerbas, who will face Martigues (Ligue 2) in the next round on the weekend of November 30.

For its part, Le Touquet ACFCO was right to believe in its chances. Facing FCP Amiens Portugais (R1), the Pas-de-Calaisiens won at the end of the penalty shootout (1-1, 4-1 tab.).

Le Touquet ACFCO (R3) will host RC Calais in the next round. The club playing in N3 will serve as a new challenge to take on, since only one of the two teams will be able to participate in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France.
