The General Assembly of the Vaud section of the Swiss Touring Club, organized last Wednesday in Yverdon-les-Bains, elected PLR deputy and former president of the Grand Council Laurence Cretegny as president of the section. The vote was done by acclamation of the members, numbering 200 that evening.

Resident of Bussy-Chardonney, Laurence Cretegny succeeds Yverdon resident Yves-Stéphane Kellenberger at the head of what is the second largest TCS section in Switzerland. It gains “control of a section in good health thanks to cost control and the development of its offer,” indicates TCS Vaud in a press release. Development of the offer made possible by the construction of the “Le Satellite” building in 2023, on its Cossonay site.

Her election is part of a form of continuity since the liberal-radical was already vice-president of the committee. In office since 2018, Yves-Stéphane Kellenberger had reached the statutory age limit preventing him from renewing his mandate as president.

Vincent Maendly has been a journalist in the Vaud section since 2006, as a local in Yverdon-les-Bains and Nyon, before specializing in cantonal politics in 2017. He holds a law degree from the University of Lausanne.More informations @VincentMaendly
