The national pétanque competition organized by the Auch La Hourre club and the Sébastien Lille-Jacques Debat duo, on August 31 and September 1, was well attended by the men’s side but struggled in the women’s event.

Preparations are well underway among the leaders and volunteers of the Auch La Hourre club to complete the final aspects of the important organization required to set up a national-level competition (from August 30 to September 1). .

After the last partners evening on Friday, the determination is there and new partners are always welcome in an organization with a budget of 80,000 euros. If the conductors of this event are satisfied with the commitments on the men’s side with a complete graph of 256 triplets and stars in all corners of the field such as the legend Christian Fazzino who returns, the duo Sévilla, Rousseau or Robineau, the teammate Dylan Rocher, Delaye, Duchein, Lucchesi and Rivieira have won multiple national titles. Two Corsican teams will also be there, as will the Ivorian international, revelation of the year, Choaïb Maïga from JCAB Carpentras.

Downside, however, with the competition at the end of August from the French doubles championships where the recent French champions from Gers in triples Delom, Cazes are qualified with Rocher, Quintais and Romain Fournié. The problem on the women’s side is that the launch of a Women’s National is not without difficulty. Indeed, to this day, around sixty doublets are still missing for a complete picture. Registrations can only be done online on the Passion Pétanque Française website (https://www.petanquefrancaise.com).

The Gers women’s doubles are missing while entry records were broken during the departmental championships a few weeks ago. The best French women will be there in the wake of Sophie Fournié and Camille Agrinier, French team and the Bandiéra sisters. It would be a shame for the Gers players not to compete at a high level, especially since the Gers have the potential to compete widely.

The Auscitain National will be broadcast on the PPF Web TV which averages 300,000 views per stage of the circuit on which the Auch La Hourre National is positioned. This event is also charitable since it is associated with the “Dance for a Smile” movement through a raffle.

At the end of August, Auch will be the epicenter of national pétanque with shows everywhere on the grounds of the Route de Roquelaure.
