A soldier was imprisoned this Monday, June 24 after a knife fight in Paris during which several people were injured during the Music Festival, AFP learned from the prosecution. Four people were taken into custody on Saturday after this brawl.
Eight days of ITT for two victims
According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, a judicial investigation was opened on Monday against one of the accused for attempted homicide and violence aggravated by two circumstances (obvious drunkenness and with a weapon) resulting in an incapacity for work of more than 8 days to the detriment of 2 victims.
Still according to the public prosecutor, this person referred was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention, in accordance with the prosecution’s requisitions.
Two other men placed in police custody were exonerated, while a third was “summoned to a criminal hearing for violence against another victim”, said the prosecution.
That evening, around 2 a.m., the police were called to a fight on a public highway. Five people were stabbed and treated by emergency services, one of them seriously.
