TOP CHRONO – Croatia-Italy (1-1): video summary of the match

Trailing until the end of added time, Italy snatched its qualification for the round of 16 of the Euro on Monday evening, thanks to a goal from Zaccagni against Croatia (1-1).

Modrić’s gang is now on the verge of elimination.

Relive the draw snatched by the “Squadra Azzurra” on video on TF1+ and TF1info.

“Miracolo” in Leipzig. Italy, the reigning European champion, qualified on the edge this Monday, June 24 in the evening for the knockout phase of the Euro. Led by a goal from Luka Modrić shortly before the hour mark (55′, 1-0), the “Squadra Azzurra” had to wait until the eighth minute of added time to score. An equalizing goal (90’+8, 1-1) which allows Luciano Spalletti’s men to advance to the round of 16, where they will face Switzerland (Saturday June 29 at 6 p.m.).

Modrić’s Crazy Minute

A meeting which risks passing under the noses of the Croats. If they held on to their qualification until the final moments, the third places in the last World Cup are now on the verge of elimination. With two points and a negative goal difference (-3), there is little chance that Modrić’s squad will be among the best thirds. The Croatian captain, who missed a penalty a few moments before opening the score, will at least have entered (a little more) history this Monday: he became, at 38 years and 289 days, the oldest scorer in having played a Euro. Which he may have left for good.
