D“Homemade” company meals, produced in an artisanal and non-industrial manner, based on fresh produce, favoring short circuits and a logic of “responsible cooking”. This is the concept defended by the Popote start-up launched by Compass Group France in the midst of a pandemic.

Based in Châtillon, in Hauts-de-Seine, this young company catering company employs nearly 90 people and serves 3,500 meals per day in more than 60 establishments in Ile-de-France. And soon more. Car Popote is reaching a new stage in its development thanks to the opening of a central kitchen in La Courneuve.

Named “L’Atelier”, this 1,000 m2 building2 hosts a production space but also a showroom allowing its customers to discover behind the scenes of its production and to taste its dishes fresh from the kitchens. The site has more than 300 m² of storage for a regular supply of fruits and vegetables (seasonal, from responsible agriculture), a kitchen of 400 m² “ ultra-modern, ergonomic and fully equipped » and a pastry laboratory.

This “Workshop” will allow Popote to significantly increase its production volume, which will increase from 3,500 to 5,000 cutlery items per day by summer. It will also allow the start-up to develop its projects such as its Popote Events event services or its partnerships with chefs like Danny Khezzar (former candidate for the M6 show “Top Chef”).
