It provides drinking water to more than 600,000 inhabitants of ten municipalities in the northern loop of Hauts-de-Seine. Sénéo, the former water union of the Gennevilliers peninsula (SEPG), has launched a new series of podcasts in order to make itself better known to the general public. This set called “Ondulation” is accessible from the ausha platform or from the Sénéo YouTube channel.
In these new recordings, the first two of which were put online at the beginning of October, Sénéo highlights his story. And this is far from being a detail, an internal kitchen hazard, only concerning those in the know. An intercommunal union, Sénéo supplies drinking water to half of Hauts-de-Seine and operates with a delegatee, in this case the company Suez. Until 2014, he had overall all the powers. For ten years, the municipalities have wanted to take back control and have provided Sénéo with a real structure.
“It was the way to make informed choices,” analyzes Josiane Fischer, the president of Sénéo, elected in December 2022. Between the risks of shortage and pollution, there is, today, a real general awareness of the issues related to water. The podcast is precisely the way to share this need and to make Sénéo known. »
It was Soizic Sivy who led this new generation communication campaign. Once the content has been decided, the Mediameeting company takes care of the technical part. It all started in 2022. The first collection “The Voice of Water” was very fun and aimed in particular at young audiences. “We personified Sénéo with the character of Lola who answers questions. We started with a real/fake one which worked well,” she recalls. Do drinking and waste water go through “the same pipe”, is the water from the Seine dirty and others “can we drink toilet water?” » find a reasoned response there.
In the end, nine episodes were produced in two years. “These series of podcasts combine humor and education,” confirms Florent Casy, the general director of Sénéo. They are ideal for talking about drinking water, how it is made, the protection of the resource…”
“We also launched a campaign on Spotify and called on the influencer Baptiste Lorber to relay our message,” explains Soizic Sivy. Proof that the fight is long-lasting, this first collection has so far attracted 1,153 visitors. Timeless, these podcasts will once again be sent to schools to serve as an educational supplement.
The second season “Cap sur l’histoire de Sénéo” which has just been launched is more adult. “We look back on its history, on the need to set up an administration, we interview members of the union and successive presidents,” explains the project manager.
