There are several thousand households to be deprived of the Internet for three days, in the south of the Oise. After a fire which affected a station of the Orange operator Friday June 21, 2024 in the evening at La Chapelle-en-Servala Wi-Fi outage is in progress in several surrounding towns.

Orry-la-Ville, Thiers-sur-Thève, Plailly, Ver-sur-Launette and Coye-la-Forêt would also be affected. Access to 4G and mobile telephony are also impossible.

Internet outage all weekend

On Friday, the fire was brought under control by firefighters around 11 p.m. “No one can comment at the moment on the duration of this outage which affects neighboring municipalities at the same time, informed the town hall of La Chapelle-en-Serval.

“Orange is studying the best temporary solution. At this moment, [nous n’avons] no other real information for a restart date,” added the municipality this Sunday.

Orange mobilized to restore its services

For its part, the operator Orange specifies that its teams “are fully mobilized to restore service as soon as possible”. “ Several days will be necessary before restoration of services.

Many telephony, ADSL and fiber customers are currently out of service in the sector. Mobile service is also very disrupted.

Concerning the fire, it would not be not criminal. “The doors of the gate and the building were all closed when the security service provider arrived, removing the basic notion of break-in,” indicated the town hall of La Chapelle-en-Serval.
