In a joint press release published this Saturday, November 16, 2024, the Young Farmers (JA) and the Departmental Federation of Farm Unions (FDSEA) of Côtes-d'Armor call for demonstrations this Monday, November 18.
“For months, the FDSEA 22 and the JA 22 have been sounding the alarm,” they write. “Lines are moving thanks to our actions, but not fast enough, not far enough, estimate the two unions. As if that wasn’t enough, the signing of an agreement with Mercosur is coming back to the forefront…”
Plouisy, Lamballe and Dinan
Three event locations were chosen for this « Act 1 » : the Kernilien roundabout, in Plouisy; rue de l'Europe, in Lamballe and the Aublette roundabout, in Dinan. At these three locations, the meeting is set for 8 p.m.
This could be the starting point for a new large-scale mobilization. Last year, farmers demonstrated for several weeks to try to obtain commitments from the government.
