Promoted to Ligue 1, Angers-SCO (second in Ligue 2 during the 2023-2024 season) announced that it had reached an agreement with RC Strasbourg (thirteenth in Ligue 1) for the signing of Jean-Eudes Aholou, who was under contract until 2025. The 30-year-old midfielder, 147 matches in the French elite, remains in a blank season with the Alsatian club, having just played 90 minutes with… the reserve team (N3 ).

Arriving at Racing in January 2017, when the club was still in Ligue 2, Aholou quickly became a member of the squad to the point of being recruited by AS Monaco and playing in the Champions League with the Principality club. during the 2018-2019 season. Failing to establish himself there, he was then loaned to AS Saint-Étienne, during the 2019-2020 season, where he played in the Europa League. Before being loaned again to Strasbourg, then kept after the RCS exercised the purchase option.

Author of a full 2022-23 season (30 matches, 3 goals, 1 assist), Jean-Eudes Aholou then paid for the arrival of the shareholder BlueCo (owner of Chelsea), the new coach Patrick Vieira and several players in his area of ​​play.
