A real scourge for the municipality, the wild abandonment of household waste, rubble, tires, household appliances and even plant waste remains a real social problem that elected officials must regularly face. The municipality has also had no news of the follow-up given to the arrest of the alleged author of around twenty illegal deposits.

This Thursday, November 14, the first deputy, Michel Claude, has once again filed a complaint with the Pontarlier gendarmerie for yet another illegal dumping observed on the edge of the municipal forest.

“An electric stove”

“We are exasperated by all these acts of incivility. This time, an individual got rid of an electric stove and two garbage bags filled with polystyrene at the side of the road. Made up of polluting materials, this waste should have been the subject of special collection,” the elected official is indignant.

For almost four years, criminal behavior observed in the municipal wooded sector has tended to increase, particularly along a road linking Houtaud to Sombacour.

The municipality wishes to become a civil party

“At the end of October, I was worried about not having any news about this sensitive matter which mobilized on numerous occasions the employees of the waste management team of the Community of Communes of Grand Pontarlier (CCGP). From the little information I have, it seems that the author of around twenty acts is summoned to court at the beginning of December. Contacted by email, the hearing department of the Besançon judicial court was not able to provide me with information on this subject. To date, our municipality is therefore still awaiting a victim notice, a document which should inform us of the hearing date and the competent court to judge this case,” Michel Claude bitterly regrets.

How can I obtain reimbursement for costs incurred (recycling and waste disposal) and be compensated for the damage suffered? A question that torments the municipality which wishes to become a civil party, via the assistance of a lawyer.

“Recently, the author of illegal dumping committed on the site of the exploitation road leading to the RD6, was ordered by the courts to pay the amount of the costs relating to the elimination of the waste. waste. He will have to pay the sum of 162.87 euros. Let us hope that the criminal response relating to the matter that concerns us lives up to our expectations,” concludes the elected official in charge of security, urban planning and roads.
