Mill festival in Villeneuve d’Ascq

Sunday June 23 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Villeneuve d’Ascq celebrates its mills with grandiose shows and activities to gain perspective, marvel and learn!

Spectacles

• Aka – Cie l’Homme Debout – Giant puppet – at 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. – 20 min. – For all
  Aka it’s a 7 m high wicker puppet! Led by 7 puppeteers, it pays homage to the traditional giants of our region in a choreographic show which resonates with the windmills.
  AKA was born from the desire to seek to preserve only the essential: the puppet, the movement, a refined, organic sound, a heartbeat, a breath. It is an inner breath, a contemplation, a moment with oneself, a vibration, a slow gesture, a dance with the landscape.

  Vertical Immersion is a unique aeronautical show. See the mills as if you were a bird through the drone’s live camera in a wacky aerial adventure for the whole family. Put on your video mask and embark with the on-board staff who will ensure everyone’s comfort, from boarding to landing!
• The Cadichon donkey of Gruson – Wandering show – continuous
  Go with Antoine and his donkey around the mills for a walk punctuated with tales. Each story break, seated on small armchairs, will invite us to savor the present time. The donkey, an accelerator of happiness!
  For small and big ears, of all ages.
• Giant bubble show with Monsieur Débulles. Continuously
  An interactive show where Monsieur Débulles will be sure to give you a treat by inundating you with bubbles of poetry!
