Near Valence: an unprecedented meeting with beekeepers

The L’Oiseau lire media library in Saint-Marcel-lès-Valence is organizing a meeting time with beekeepers alongside an exhibition on bees.

As part of the exhibition Let’s save the bees presented at the L’Oiseau lire media library until August 23, the librarians offer various activities. Three meetings with beekeepers are notably scheduled.

Wednesday June 26 at 10:30 a.m.Alain Marion, president of the Drôme bee health defense group, the GDSA26, will introduce you to the life of bees thanks to the glass hive that he will specially install in the premises of the media library.

Saturday June 29 and Wednesday July 3 also at 10:30 a.m., Chantal Quet, an amateur beekeeper based in Saint-Marcel-lès-Valence, will come to meet the readers and visitors of L’Oiseau lire. During these two meetings, the beekeeper will introduce you to the life of bees and the production of honey. Participants will then be able to ask him their questions. These two meetings will end around a honey tasting.

These three activities are in addition to Monique’s Little Tales, tales that are Bzzz, tasty, to be found, and read to children aged 3 to 8 on Tuesday June 11 at the end of the afternoon. Finally, a reflection workshop combining nature and culture will be led on Tuesday June 18 at the end of the day by Pauline Balthazar, doctoral student in anthropology, to question our relationship with nature and living things.
