Bénévent-l’Abbaye. Favorite photos at Scénovision. Joëlle Comencini, graphic designer and photographer, exhibits at Scénovision. His photographs are integrated into square frames inside which the captions, in very small characters, bring intimacy with the attention focused on the inside of the frame and bringing the subject closer.

Sumptuous, his photographs are not retouched, just cropped.

Two series presented with care

Two series are on display. The first, “Passé compound”, is a nod to the still lifes of Jean-Baptiste Siméon Chardin. Joëlle Comencini presents objects linked to her family history, on photos taken in natural lighting.

“Vegetables with Character,” the second series, is another playful nod to vegetables twisted to the point of expression. “It’s much lighter. For the first year, I noticed many vegetables that were a little strange and atypical, like people who were a little different.

She is very attached to these original prints that the artist offers: “If I got back into photography, it is to exchange, but in a humble way. It’s not easy to part with something you hold dear,” an attachment illustrated by the care taken in the framing of these photographs.

This beautiful exhibition is in place for the summer period.

Participating in this opening were André Mavigner, mayor of Bénévent; Oliver Mouveroux, president of the Community of Communes of Bénévent – Grand-Bourg; Michel Lefaure, deputy mayor of Bénévent; Josette Moreau, vice-president of Com-com responsible for tourism, and Daniel Dumas, mayor of Marsac.
