‘Noël au Quai’, one of the major Christmas markets in the canton of Geneva, will open its doors on Thursday until December 24. Under lights and garlands, the event hosts numerous stands of local artisans, snacks and offers a rich program of activities for children.
Two traditional carousels will delight the youngest. Little ones can also drive wooden horses mounted on wheels. Many activities will take place in the children’s yurt, we can read on the website of the organizers of ‘Noël au Quai’.
You can come and discover the secret of plants, do yoga with the family, learn about afro dance, wake up to musical steps, learn how to make your Christmas wreath, put on makeup, take part in a reading workshop , listen to Japanese tales, or even do embroidery and origami.
The Christmas Market, supported by the city of Geneva, was originally installed in the Parc des Bastions. He then migrated to the Jardin Anglais, before taking up his habits, today, at the Quai du Mont-Blanc.
