For two days, the SavoieExpo was the recreational center for hundreds of small animals. On November 9 and 10, the Salon of the puppy allowed many breeders and individuals to transact in these small animals.

The association Justice Animals Savoie went there with LFI MP Jean-François Coulomme. They would like to ban the show.

“This encourages abandonment”

On their website, the association specifies “that the mandatory 7-day reflection period is absolutely not respected. Breeders therefore sell very expensive animals (€1000 to €2000 on average) without giving customers time to think. These favorite purchases unfortunately encourage abandonment while shelters are overflowing with animals just waiting to find a family! »

For his part, the organizer of the show defends himself to our colleagues from Dauphiné Libéré: 'Animal welfare is respected. During these events, we have checks carried out by veterinarians. He adds that “these are therefore not spontaneous purchases but well thought out. Breeders must verify the document. We are within the rules. »
