Morocco, represented by Brahim Al Atmani, president of the General Mutual Association of Public Administration Personnel (MGPAP) and the African Mutual Union (UAM), was elected to the presidency of the World Mutual Union ( UMM) as part of the 6th General Assembly in Porto (Portugal), this Saturday June 22. This election recognizes Moroccan experience in the field of mutuality and rewards the efforts made by Al Atmani to strengthen the sector in Morocco and Africa.

During his speech, Brahim Al Atmani highlighted the strategic advances made by MGPAP, notably through a five-year plan aimed at improving services for more than 453,000 members and their beneficiaries. This initiative is part of the national objectives of generalization of social protection and universal health coverage, promoted by King Mohammed VI.

The election of Brahim Al Atmani as president of the UMM strengthens Morocco’s position on the continental and international level, by promoting cooperation between the countries of the South and by consolidating a robust mutuality system in the face of economic and health crises, like that of Covid-19.

The General Assembly also highlighted Morocco’s humanitarian actions, such as the multidisciplinary medical caravans which benefited more than 53,235 people in the Southern Provinces, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the High Commissioner for Elders. resistant. These efforts were recognized by a tribute to Brahim Al Atmani for his commitment to promoting mutuality at all levels: national, African and international.
