The Flep dance school opened its doors on Wednesday, June 19, to discover its activities. Teacher and students gave demonstrations in front of parents and the public who came for the occasion.

The open day at the Flep dance school took place at the Château des Izards on Wednesday June 19, in the presence of Nadine Peyrol and Maryse Cheyrou, the section’s representative. From 1:45 p.m. to 7 p.m., initiations of different levels followed, initiation (from 4 to 5 years old), beginner (classic 6/8 years old), elementary 1 (classic 8/10 years old), elementary 2 (classic pointe 10/17 years) and modern jazz.

The dance teacher did part of his usual class and ended it with a little choreography specific to each level. The numerous parents and visitors were able to attend the various courses.

Dance classes are taught by Leandro Rodrigues, a young teacher from Portugal, who has proven professional experience, with a very developed sense of artistic matters (classical, modern, contemporary, jazz, choreographic creation and bodily expression).

Arriving in September 2023, Leandro Rodrigues trains 37 children. “The dance school welcomes children from 5 years old for classical dance and from 10 years old for jazz. Classes of different levels are offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the dance hall of the Château des Izards, supervised by Leandro,” explains Maryse Cheyrou.
