The “positioning” auctions for the allocation of frequencies in the 900 MHz band in Martinique and Guadeloupe took place on November 14, 2024.
As a reminder, following the examination of the application files, the main auctions for the allocation of frequency packages in the 700 MHz and 900 MHz bands in Martinique and Guadeloupe, which were held on October 1, made it possible to determine, with regard to the 900 MHz band, the quantities of frequencies obtained by each of the winners in the 885 – 915 MHz and 930 – 960 MHz sub-bands in Martinique and in the sub-bands 890 – 915 MHz and 935 – 960 MHz in Guadeloupe, provided that this allocation procedure is completed.
Regarding the 700 MHz band, the main auction on frequency packages made it possible to determine the quantities of frequencies obtained by each of the winners in the 703 – 723 MHz and 758 – 778 MHz sub-bands in Martinique and Guadeloupe . The positioning of these frequencies was the subject of a positioning auction on October 22, 2024.
The positioning auctions for the allocation of frequencies in the 900 MHz band make it possible to determine the position of the frequencies in the 900 MHz band contained in the frequency packages, obtained by each winner.
The rest of the frequencies of the 900 MHz band, corresponding to the sub-bands 880 – 885 MHz and 925 – 930 MHz in Martinique and the sub-bands 880 – 890 MHz and 925 – 935 MHz in Guadeloupe, as well as the rest of the frequencies of the 700 MHz band, corresponding to the sub-bands 723 – 733 MHz and 778 – 788 MHz in Martinique and Guadeloupe, will be allocated as part of an auction on 5 MHz duplex blocks, which will be held in the coming weeks.
The results of the positioning auction phase on the frequencies of the 900 MHz band contained in the frequency packages in the 700 MHz and 900 MHz bands in Martinique and Guadeloupe
At the end of the positioning auctions for the allocation of frequencies in the 900 MHz band contained in the frequency packages in the 700 MHz and 900 MHz bands, the results in Martinique are as follows:
