On May 10, a 22-year-old young man met a woman in the Fort parking lot in Saint-Priest.
He had met her through an app, and the relationship seemed to go well between the two.
Except that all of a sudden, two individuals with hidden faces were stalking them. Armed with a knife, one of the suspects explained to the young man that his conquest was minor and that he had to give them money.
The trio, since the woman was involved, finally left with the car and the personal effects of the robbed victim.
The latter filed a complaint and explained to the police that she had recognized one of the two criminals. And for good reason, he was at school with him!
The investigation made it possible to confirm the identity of the extortionist, and that of his accomplice. The two men aged 19 and 20 were arrested this week at their home. The victim’s bag and a knife were found during the search.
In police custody, the duo, already well known to the courts, admitted the facts, citing old disputes to justify their action.
For her part, the young woman, who was not a minor because she was 18 years old, was also found and interviewed. She says she was forced to serve as bait.
The three accomplices were presented to the prosecution and were to be tried this Friday afternoon.
