At a press briefing, Sherry Bondy paid tribute to the mother who was involved in the local soccer organization and in a youth center. She announced that the city’s flags were being lowered to half-mast in honor of the deceased.

Ongoing investigation

Police were called to a home on Route 13 around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. There PPO said it was unable to confirm the causes of death and the identity of the deceased.

There is no imminent danger to public safety at this time, according to the PPO. Without qualifying the incident as criminal, the PPO confirmed there was enough evidence for the Criminal Investigation Unit to lead the investigation.

Police cars and a person in a suit usually used to protect evidence at a crime scene.
