While the Halle des Producteurs de Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours (Seine-et-Marne) will celebrate its first year of existence on November 19, it continues to see its aisles expand with now more than one ten producers and traders every Sunday.

After a well-deserved summer break which allowed the various stakeholders to draw a very positive initial assessment, the start of the September school year was off to a flying start with ever-increasing number of visitors and the arrival of new merchants who complement the existing offer.

A friendly moment on Sunday

At the beginning of October, on the market square, a roaster sourcing locally set up to offer chickens, shanks and hams which was joined by the “Mathilde’s Little Breads”, a bakery specializing in special breads as well as a fruit seller last Sunday. In the coming weeks, a local roaster will even come to tend the bar occasionally and offer their best coffee beans.

An excellent dynamic which delights Bruno Landais, mayor of the town: “ I am confident about the future of the market and I would like to underline the role of elected officials and agents whose involvement is remarkable in order to approach new producers and organize events which bring the market to life.”

La Halle des Producers has also put itself at the service of the fight against Breast Cancer

Indeed, throughout the month of October, pink balloons and ribbons adorned the hall to collect donations for the Curie Institute and the fight against breast cancer. More than 800 euros were collected by the City.

On Sunday October 27, it was the children from the leisure center who decorated the premises with pumpkins and other cobwebs to create a terrifying atmosphere for visitors. A beautiful moment which attracted many children to the market to collect candy made available by the City.

Sunday, November 17, the appointment is made to blow out the first candle at the Producers' Hall! For the occasion, the municipality is preparing a friendly moment between visitors and producers.
