Gilles Maillary returns from Marseille to open Le Mistral in Creuse

Gilles Maillary, originally from Saint-Médard-la-Rochette, and his wife Angèle arrive from Marseille to officially open the doors of the Mistral in Ahun (Creuse) this Friday, June 21.

This Friday, June 21, the town of Ahun (Creuse) will benefit from a new establishment, bar, hotel, restaurant and PMU.
It is a native of the country, Gilles Maillary, originally from Saint-Médard-la-Rochette who, after a prolonged exile in Marseille for a professional life in restaurants as a cook, returned to Creuse with his wife, Angèle, to take over the the former Lion d’Or establishment, by expanding it with a catering activity.

A terrace and a room for 30 seats

In high season the restaurant will be open every day from Monday to Friday, with a lunch menu, featuring traditional French and Sicilian cuisine, and an à la carte menu in the evening. On Saturday and Sunday, the restaurant will offer an à la carte service for lunch and dinner. The bar and PMU will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Gilles and Angèle have carried out major renovation work allowing a dining room for 30 seats and a beautiful terrace for 40 people (food and drinks).

Former director of a marriage agency in Normandy, she takes over a restaurant in Creuse (April 2024)

The hotel part has five rooms renovated with comfort (TV, bathroom and WC), and also has a closed shelter for the vehicles of hotel guests.
This new business, particularly catering, is very important for Ahun. It makes it possible to extend the offer, currently a little restricted, to the heart of the town; Creuse residents and tourists will certainly appreciate it.

Le Mistral is located at 1, rue Pouzami, close to the route de Limoges and the old medieval town (boulevard de la ville). Information and reservations at 05.55.62.40.25 or 06.50.86.00.63.
