the essential
After celebrating its 30th anniversary last year, the company specializing in electronic systems continues its rise and is coming off a very good year in 2023. The only downside: the difficulties of recruiting for specific positions.

A new building for a new life. Get electronic has left the Mélou area in Castres to join the economic heart of Causse, located in the heart of the Castres-Mazamet agglomeration. After 30 years of life in the industrial and commercial zone, the French subsidiary of the Spherea group inaugurated its new premises on Friday June 7.

One more step for this little-known gem, specializing in electronic systems for the aeronautics, nuclear, defense, railway and hospital sectors, created in July 1993, by the will of former employees of the April company. In 2016, little sister Bridgelec, an inclusive company specializing in systems engineering, electronics and wired cabling, joined the family.

Moving for €300,000

The move was announced during the 30th anniversary, it has now been in effect since March. “We are maintaining and developing our activities. We were a little cramped and above all in an energy sieve. This is not was no longer possible to continue like this, especially since we make employee comfort our priority”, points out Armelle Delporte, human resources manager at Get electronique and Bridgelec. Also: “We have been storing part of our equipment in a premises in Castres for 30 years. We sorted it and we rehabilitated the premises, at the entrance to Siala”, adds Timothé Simon, sales manager.

Why did you choose the Causse? “It was important to be present in the industrial gem of Castres-Mazamet and especially to be close to the airport, which our customers use a lot,” specifies the HR department. Rather than constructing a new building, the company seized the opportunity to rent an existing one which at the time housed CGX Aéro. “We are fortunate to have the possibility of expansion.” A move costing €300,000, which opens up new perspectives for the Castres company.

50 positions to fill

“Our areas of activity are exploding and our Group activity has picked up enormously since the Covid crisis. We are involved in many programs, military for example. We are coming off a very good year in 2023 (7 million turnover)” , welcomes Timothé Simon. The only downside: the difficulties of recruiting for specific positions such as experienced wireline cablers. Three positions of this type are to be filled and around fifty others in the Group.
