Sunday, November 10 at the Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot bowling alley, the General Assembly of the departmental committee which was to renew its board of directors took place. Jacqueline Prévot known as “Jackie” was elected president following a vote that was “agitated” to say the least.

Jacqueline Prévot was born on April 4, 1954 in Calignac. She discovered pétanque with her husband Gérard, an excellent player whom she followed very regularly from the 80s. Today this couple is licensed in Francescas. Jacqueline Prévot has served on the Departmental Pétanque Committee since 2012. She is therefore starting her fourth mandate as president after having been assistant secretary then, from 2020, general secretary. She took care of the 3,300 licenses, transfers, the organization and qualifications of the championships, communication, etc.

“Serenity and dialogue”

A vast majority of pétanque club managers already praised his dynamism, his availability and his skills. “I want to involve the clubs more. I hope that my mandate will be marked by serenity and dialogue. It is absolutely necessary to revitalize the Committee and that everyone finds their place,” confides the new president.

There is no doubt that with this outstanding leader, the departmental pétanque committee will indeed regain all its dynamism and bring with it all the clubs in the department.
In a future edition, we will publish the complete list of members of the CD 47 committee office.
