The recovery of household waste and the costs that this will generate were on the agenda of the Community Council of Lot and Tolzac, Thursday June 13. The president of the household waste and roads commission, Ghislain Gozzérino, revealed the name of the company selected, after a call for tenders, for the supply and installation of household waste columns. The company Quadria was thus chosen, for a total amount of 614,298 euros, including the supply, transport, delivery, civil engineering works (if necessary) and the installation of buried and semi-buried terminals.
The intermunicipality needs around 65 aerial terminals, 12 semi-buried and two buried. Mayors were asked to carefully “analyze” the soil on which the terminals will be placed (rock, “soft” soil, etc.). Ghislain Gozzérino recalled that an aerial terminal contained half the capacity of a buried or semi-buried one.

530,000 euros to borrow
The Community of Municipalities will in particular be responsible for the disbursement to install the aerial terminals; for the others, it will be the responsibility of the municipality. Bags of 50 liters (or less) will be accepted once a month.
The community will have to borrow 530,000 euros; banking organizations are currently being consulted. To these non-exhaustive amounts is added the management software which must be put in place for incentive pricing. Three companies will be received this Thursday, June 20, in order to determine which one is best suited.
In addition, Lot and Tolzac will launch a call for applications for two part-time agents, for three months, to hold household waste badge distribution hours. Others will be organized in each municipality, in order to create user files with each citizen; an agent will then be present to raise awareness, inform and provide information.
