It was during the Board of Directors meeting on June 18, 2024 that Daniel Augello, President of Initiative Gard since 2020, handed over to Nicolas Alteirac, chartered accountant and auditor.
It was not without emotion that Daniel Augello thanked all the people who were involved alongside him during his years as President and without whom the Association could not function: the administrators, volunteers, partners and the team of Gard Initiative. “I wanted to be a different president. I think I gave the best of myself and I hope you have all been satisfied with this term”. His speech was praised for many minutes by the room.
Then, it was time for Nicolas Alteirac who took the floor to introduce himself. “It is with immense joy and deep gratitude that I speak before you today. The Initiative Gard association occupies an essential place in the local economic landscape, offering valuable support to business creation or takeover projects, whatever their size, their sector of activity or the profile of the entrepreneurs involved. All this upstream work, this funding granted, all this would not be possible without your participation and your involvement, each in your field and your role, as we have already mentioned this morning. A big thanks to all of you !
For those who don’t know me yet, I am Nicolas Alteirac, 60 years old, chartered accountant and auditor, with more than 30 years of rich professional experience, both in firms and in business development. I have been a member of Initiative Gard since 2021 and have sat on the Board of Directors since 2022. I firmly believe in the importance of placing our associative mission at the heart of our commitment within the business world, and of bringing together all the good will to grow together Initiative Gard.
It is with great honor that I propose my candidacy for the presidency of our association, and I would like to warmly thank Daniel, outgoing president, for his exceptional, almost supernatural dedication in the exercise of his functions. A huge thank you to you, Daniel, I know that I will be able to count on your support for this new stage of the association, as well as that of the office, and particularly that of Vincent VINOT. Without your investment, this association would not have had such influence.
A big thank you also to the entire team of permanent staff, under the expert direction of Alice, JOLLIVET our director, who carries the mission of our structure high. The work accomplished by the team is colossal, preparing each year the 200 files submitted to the committees for informed and serious decisions. Together, we have the capacity to promote Initiative Gard and to further support entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs in our territory.
Thank you to each of you for your commitment and your valuable contribution to our common cause, we will have to redouble our energy to face the challenges that lie ahead of us”
In his closing speech, the President also wanted to thank Nîmes Métropole for his support, his welcome for the General Assembly and the Board of Directors and Olivier Fabregoul, Vice-President in charge of economic development, for his presence today .
