80 new residents per year

Guillaume Hamon, town planning assistant, responds point by point. “ The densification of the city center is included in the local town planning plan and it is an assumed desire to concentrate this type of housing in an area close to shops and the town hall,” he explains.

In return, the municipality undertakes to free up space for the creation of “plant pockets”. The project to destroy the leisure center and the preservation of a nearby grassy strip are an illustration of this.

“The law relating to solidarity and urban renewal (SRU) and demographic projections require us to welcome 80 new residents per year, taking into account new uses and new mobility,” he says.

On the heritage aspect, “public money is not unlimited and, when choosing, I am more interested in preserve the presbytery For example. In any case, the sale was carried out by a private party, the municipality not having the right to pre-empt in this case. »

The elected official also assures that parkingtraffic flows and the smooth running of the work will be closely scrutinized.

“We cannot protect Langueux”

Comments supported by the director of Coopalis, Bruno Fiévet, who recalls that “from now on, as part of the policy of zero net artificialization of land (ZAN), subdivisions as we knew them will be banned. Should we stop welcoming residents? We cannot protect Langueux. We must therefore find solutions. »
