This Friday, November 8, 2024, the president of theUIMM -Union of metallurgical industries and trades- and the president of the CCI Hérault signed a new agreement to develop industry and create jobs in the region.
Eric Fouillot, just re-elected for a three-year term at the head of the UIMM, took over from Pierre-Damien Rochette, outgoing president with whom André Deljarrypresident of the CCI Hérault had already established a solid partnership.
“The partnership between the CCI Hérault and the UIMM is essential to support companies in the transformation of industrial professions. With more than 16,000 industrial companies in our territory, we expect the creation of 12,000 jobs in the next five years.”
Orientation Night
The industrial sectors of Hérault have important centers of expertise such as hydrogen in West Hérault, the blue economy in the Thau basin or even health in Montpellier. In these sectors, the agreement will provide particular attention and assistance to VSEs and SMEs.
One of the highlights of this convention will be the Orientation Nightscheduled for Wednesday November 20 at the CCI. It will offer middle and high school students, job seekers and people in retraining a presentation of jobs and careers in the industry.
Salon Intersud
The salon Intersudorganized every two years in Béziers, will return for a new edition on June 4, 2025. This meeting, placed this year under the sign of responsible purchasing, will bring together industrial subcontractors and major donors of regional, national and international order.
“Intersud is an undeniable success. In a single day, this show generates up to 5 million euros in turnover for our local businesses,” recalled André Deljarry.
