Like every Wednesday, the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) studied the incidents of the last days of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Many clubs were condemned this November 27 following incidents with supporters.
First of all, the disciplinary committee gave its verdict on a case put under investigation, that of the throwing of an object at DAZN journalist Ambre Godillon during the Marseille-Auxerre match on November 8 which had also been interrupted with use pyrotechnic devices. The commission decided to sanction OM with a suspended match behind closed doors at the Vélodrome stadium.
Concerning the incidents at Nantes – Le Havre, including the invasion of the land by some members of the Loire Brigade, the case was put under investigation “in view of the seriousness of the facts”. As a precautionary measure, it was decided to partially close the Loire stand at the La Beaujoire stadium. The final decision will be made at the end of the session on Wednesday, December 18.
Furthermore, the LFP disciplinary committee decided on Wednesday to close for a match the “space reserved for the Lyon 1950 group” at the Groupama stadium following excesses during the derby between OL and Saint-Étienne on 10 november. This sanction takes effect immediately, said the League press release.
If nothing had been noticed during the match by the authorities, a homophobic chant directed against the Stéphanois was nevertheless denounced at the end on X by the Rouge Direct collective, which fights against homophobia in football. The match was also suspended for 5 minutes because of smoke bombs set off by supporters.
In Montpellier (use of pyrotechnic devices against Brest), it was decided to close the Etang de Thau stand at the Mosson stadium for a suspended match. In Nice (use of pyrotechnic devices against Lille), that for a match by revocation of the suspension of the lower part of the southern popular stand of the Allianz Riviera.
In Ligue 2 where the meeting between Bastia and Lorient was interrupted for more than half an hour last Saturday, after projectiles were thrown in the direction of a sideline referee, Stéphane Panont, a closed session was declared for the Armand Cesari stadium. The case was placed under investigation. Final decision on December 11.
Finally, for “throws of objects leading to three temporary interruptions of the match and oral expressions noted”, the disciplinary committee decided to close for one match by revoking the suspension of the part reserved for the kop of the east stand of the Bauer stadium .
