Due to a snowy episode, the Relais du Mont du Chat has been closed since 8 a.m. Tuesday, and several passes have also been closed to traffic since 10 a.m.: the Iseran, Mont-Cenis, de Fer and Glandon passes, the Cormet de Roselend (partial closure), the Petit Saint Bernard and Madeleine passes. Some departmental roads are also closed (RD 126 Entre deux eaux; RD 108, route des barrages d'Aussois; RD 106, route de l'Orgière in Saint-André). Details can be found on the savoieroutes.fr website

“The numerous clouds during the night from Monday to Tuesday (flakes around 1700 meters then 1200/1400 meters) remain present during most of the day Tuesday, but the showers are weak and very scattered in the morning, occurring mainly towards the South of the region (snowflakes around 1300/1400 meters) then stop completely in the afternoon, before the return of clearings”, indicates the Météo Alpes website.

“The accumulation of snow since Monday evening is starvation, above 1800 meters: traces at 2 cm, perhaps 3 to 5 cm in Oisans/Vanoise/Haute-Maurienne”. Minimum temperatures between 2 and 6 degrees. Maximum temperatures between 6 and 10 degrees. Isothermal 0°C around 1500 meters. Moderate wind from the North-East.
