Former minister Jérôme Cahuzac, center-left candidate in the early legislative elections in the 3rd constituency of Lot-et-Garonne, inaugurated his campaign office this Tuesday, June 18.

There were many people this Tuesday, June 18 on the square in front of the Sainte-Catherine church in Villeneuve-sur-Lot. Dozens of people present to welcome the one who is diving back into the political arena: Jérôme Cahuzac. The former socialist minister inaugurated his campaign office at midday, alongside Sophie Gargowitsch, his deputy for these legislative elections.

The former deputy mayor of Villeneuve took the opportunity to position himself on numerous local issues, and put forward several ideas to “wake up this constituency”. In front of faithful and activists, he gave some clues about his position in the hemicycle of the National Assembly, if he were to be elected on the evening of July 7. Unsurprisingly, it will be “neither RN, nor New Popular Front”, but in “a group of responsible people who will be created”.

In this 3rd constituency of Lot-et-Garonne, Jérôme Cahuzac will face four candidates: the outgoing National Rally deputy, Annick Cousin, a candidate from the New Popular Front, Xavier Czapla, the LR mayor of Villeneuve-sur-Lot Guillaume Lepers and a candidate Workers’ struggle, Bernadette Gasc.
