The Pictou County District of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in collaboration with the New Glasgow Regional Police and with the support of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, conducted an operation Monday morning on James Street in New Glasgow .
The police operation in front of a residence was linked to an arrest warrant targeting Justin Daniel Graham.
The 30-year-old man from Pictou County has been wanted since June 7 for assault, threats, dangerous driving and fleeing a peace officer.
An entire area closed off
James and Forbes streets were closed for several hours Monday morning and the public was asked to avoid the area to allow officers to do their work.
