After the success of the three previous editions, national in 2019, departmental in 2022 and regional in 2023, Vache de Salon returns to Micropolis in Besançon from November 15 to 17. “This agricultural show is today an unmissable event which is part of the calendar of breeders and that of the general public,” recall Pierre-Alain Martin, president of Doubs Terre d’Élevage and Didier Sikkink, deputy general manager of SEM Micropolis. “Let us remember that the primary mission of this event is to promote and promote the entire dairy sector of the Montbéliard cow and the equine sector of the Comtois draft horse. But, this year, it is opening up even more widely and welcoming five breeds in competition. »
Women in the spotlight
The breeds present this year, in addition to those mentioned above, are: the trait auxois, for horses, the charolaise, the prim'holstein, the simmental, the Vosgienne and the brunette, for cattle. The organizers have also set themselves new objectives in addition to those that visitors have been able to discover in previous years. This time it is about committing to women in the agricultural sector and promoting equality and complementarity with men. On the other hand, equine mediation will be highlighted to address the subject of well-being at work.
