While the arrival of 4 new restaurants at the Jean-Talon Market for the summernow a new party to celebrate the heat will feature artisans of spicy gastronomy in July!

These festivities in question, which will highlight spiciness and chili, will take place on Saturday July 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the event area located northwest of the market.

Festival-goers will be able to discover around fifteen companies specializing in making spicy side dishes, as well as various culinary demonstrations. This will be the ideal opportunity to discover all the know-how surrounding this rather “caliente” universe.

The organizers’ promise: a festive musical atmosphere, a cocktail bar and a hot sauce tasting competition that promise to heat up the atmosphere (and your taste buds, be warned)!

We have chosen to highlight spiciness, an area which is experiencing real popularity in Quebec and which offers unique taste sensations. A SPICY programming

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: discovery of a wide variety of spicy products made in Quebec and a cocktail bar

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: four culinary demonstrations that will reveal the secrets of making certain spicy side dishes

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: move to the rhythm groovy by DJ Cidoine
