A new (almost) summer carnival appeared in Lower Town of Friborg last Saturday. This new type of event saw the light of day, somewhat unwittingly, during the 12 Hours of the Auge. The idea came from one of the groups participating in the event.

This happy team of regulars, made up of residents of Lower Town, never lacks imagination. This is evidenced by the two awards won this year, including that of the funniest group. And creative, because even before the end of the race, at 10 p.m., and the announcement of the prizes, the team had burned the object of its incandescent glory in the middle of the street and without a fire extinguisher.
A great shoe, revisited version of the famous Dr. Martens in line with the group’s theme: punk. Rebels to the end of their strange handlebars, the punks were led in particular by Jean-Marie Pellaux, former green elected official of the cantonal capital. Who, contacted about this, assures him: such a tragic and burning ending was not planned. But it was imagined over the hours, during which the machine was quite damaged while the lucidity of the drivers took on water under torrents of more or less foamy liquid. Enough to fan the flames of success. Or not.
