Xalimanews-Le President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, was delighted, on Monday, the climate of peace and concord which prevails in Senegal, assuring that the government is working to perpetuate it.
“I would like to express all my satisfaction with the social climate which prevails in this country today, which is a climate of peace, serenity, a climate of harmony and national cohesion”, greeted the Head of State after having performed the Aid el Kébir prayer at the great mosque of Dakar.
“We are committed to working hard to perpetuate and sustain this climate in the country,” promised President Faye.
According to him, it is this spirit which underlies the approach of the new authorities to achieve the objectives they have set for themselves.
“That is why, whatever the occasion, when we think that reforms must take place, we take the opportunity to open discussions so that every opinion can be expressed to guarantee us the best path to take to ensure our objectives that we want to achieve,” he said.
The Head of State welcomed the production of the first barrel of oil, while paying tribute to all those who contributed to the achievement of these results.
Bassirou Diomaye Faye promised good administration of these resources. “We are committed to ensuring the proper administration of these resources for the benefit of the Senegalese people,” he said.
