For its 2024 edition, our team is looking for its assistant or production assistant.

Under the responsibility of the production director, the production assistant will act in particular as responsible for volunteers, support the management of the Bach Off-festival, and assist with various production tasks during the duration of the Festival.

Missions and responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Director in her Festival production mission, including, in particular:
    • – Relationship with concert halls
    • – Supervision of local transport and accommodation for artists.
    • – Planning deliveries, rentals and assembly.
    • – Help establish production schedules and routes
    • – Help respond to the requests and requirements of musicians, venues and partner organizations.
  • Manage a team of around 30 volunteers, including all communications, directives and schedules before and during concerts.
  • Support the daily management of the Bach Off-Festival space.
  • Carry out any other related task necessary for the smooth running of the festival – professional ethics

Required profile

  • Driving license required, vehicle provided
  • Previous experience in a similar role (asset)
  • Be available, versatile and flexible – have good physical condition
  • Fluency in French (oral and written) and good knowledge of English
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the world of music.
  • Have a good understanding of the needs of musicians and musical ensembles.

  • Ability to communicate well
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure + multitask.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines – Organizational skills

Working conditions

  • Fixed-term contract
  • Employee status: full-time employee (35 hours/week minimum guaranteed)
  • Start date: From September 9 to December 13, 2024
  • Schedule: Flexible day and evening, week and weekend. During the rehearsal and Festival periods (November 16 – December 8), the production assistant must be present at all Festival events alongside the rest of the team, and will therefore be required to work late evenings and weekends.
  • Salary: From $22.50/hour, depending on experience
  • Workplaces: Headquarters of the association 4030 rue Saint-Ambroise, Montreal – office 336 (10 min walk from Metro Place St-Henri) and all concert halls and the OFF Festival on the island of Montreal
