After February, come May again. This year for the first time, the number of passengers at Geneva airport regularly exceeds that of 2019, the reference year before the pandemic. Last May, 1.45 million passengers traveled from Cointrin, compared to 1.4 million in May 2019. In February, 1.48 million people passed through the airport. There were 1.44 million in February 2019.

During the pandemic, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) estimated that passenger traffic would return to its pre-crisis figures in 2024. History seems to prove it right because in Asia, this threshold was exceeded this year .
