Threat to product quality and farmers
The spokesperson for this agricultural union denounces the Mercosur agreements which, according to him, will lead to “a decline in the quality of agricultural production and the number of farmers, which we refuse”.
“Even if we are not badly off in the Channel, we want to raise awareness about the situation of farmers. We have the same demands as at the start of the year.” Since the angry demonstration of January 26, 2024 and, in the Channel, the blocking of the A84 motorway by farmers' blockades, “nothing has changed”, deplores Yannick Bodin. Leader of the movement at the start of the year, he invited the parliamentarians of La Manche to meet the demonstrators. Meeting at the end of which the movement was lifted.
Yannick Bodin future president of the CR50
The spokesperson for Rural Coordination should be elected as president of the union in Manche on November 22.
Chantal Jean, the current president of Rural Coordination in La Manche will become regional president.
Since January, I have been asked to take over. An extraordinary meeting of the departmental office is planned for November 22, during which it was agreed that I be elected president. I am resuming my field of action, out of solidarity with other farmers, even if today I am no longer a breeder, but a cereal grower. I know all the files having also been, until 2015, national general secretary.
