The State has set the bar very high with funding of more than 6 billion dirhams per year to stimulate private investment. Did the leverage work? Is the attraction of investors palpable?

It must be recognized that we have never had such a transversal and attractive investment system through the support measures of the new Investment Charter, the formulas proposed by the Mohammed VI Fund or even the encouragement for the benefit of SMEs tourist.

A program like Go Siyaha is, for example, very important: It helps stimulate the entertainment offering, considered a weakness in the Moroccan tourist offering. Today, we have a system which offers 30% financing for investment in accommodation projects backed by an entertainment offering, 35% for the entertainment offering, 40% for sustainability and for energy efficiency, up to 90% for digitalization projects for all tourism companies. These new measures put in place will undoubtedly make it possible to attract private investment.

We also see the attraction of international operators for Morocco. However, streamlining administrative processes and improving the business climate remains necessary to better support investors while giving them maximum visibility on opportunities. We have an exceptional firing window and we need to redouble our efforts to take advantage of this Moroccan Momentum and be reactive. Because around the world, there is a renewed interest among investors in the hotel industry, whereas a few years ago there was only interest in real estate or business centers. Tourism was in case there was a little money left….
