This Monday, June 17, 2024, around 8 a.m., the Mayenne firefighters intervened in the Saint-Nicolas district, in Laval. Five members of the same family living in a building on Boulevard Kellermann were victims of illness.

Transported to Laval hospital

When they arrived at the home, the firefighters understood that it was carbon monoxide poisoning thanks to the detectors they carry and which are triggered above a certain threshold.

The five victims were transported to the Laval hospital center to undergo examinations. The emergency services were able to identify the cause of this poisoning: it came from a barbecue which was on the balcony of the apartment.
