Typhanie Degois, who sat in the National Assembly in the presidential party group, announced this Sunday June 16 that she was a candidate in the first constituency of Savoie.

Know how to change sides. Member of Parliament for La République en Marche (Renaissance) between 2017 and 2022, Typhanie Degois announced that she was a candidate for the legislative elections, organized on June 30 and July 7 following the dissolution of the National Assembly by Emmanuel Macron. But this time, the one who is running in the first constituency of Savoy will do so under the colors… “of the great alliance of the Right”.

Ex-macronist, she therefore joins the coalition formed by Eric Ciotti and Jordan Bardella and will be supported by the National Rally.

“Restore order to the streets and public accounts”

“I have always defended a right-wing line within the majority. As best I can since that is the reason why I did not run again in 2022,” she said in the columns of the JDD. “Today, we have a historic opportunity to form a right-wing majority in the National Assembly,” says Typhanie Degois.

“I call on the gathering and mobilization of all lovers of France and all patriots with Jordan Bardella in order to straighten out the country and restore order in the streets and in public accounts, for the benefit of the “general interest and the common good”, explains in a press release on X Typhanie Degois.

The former Macronist MP will therefore face the elected MoDem who succeeded her in June 2022, Marina Ferrari.

Two years ago, Ensemble, the presidential coalition, obtained 27% of the votes in the first round, followed by Nupes (21.43%), the RN (19.95%) and LR (12.25%). In the second round, Marina Ferrari largely beat communist Christel Granata (59% against 41%).

If the results of the European elections are confirmed for the National Rally at the end of June, Typhanie Degois could hope to qualify for the second round. Like the other candidates in her constituency, she has two weeks to convince voters.
