Dead calm in Parthenay, during this long weekend of November 11? Nay! You had to be at the fairground all day this Sunday, November 10, 2024 to believe it. It was the big day crowd at the fair for the huge garage sale back at the cattle market.
After three years of shortage of this type in this location and a test balloon sent on July 7 to the same place and crowned with success, the Mach 4 company from Saint-Pierre-du-Chemin (Vendée) returned the cover this 10 November for the big return – obviously much anticipated – of the livestock market garage sale.
A good hundred exhibitors stormed the covered sections of the fairground and its exterior surroundings. “We had requests for this garage sale to resume and, in collaboration with the Parthenay livestock market, we therefore decided to repeat this great day,” explains Blandine Rioux, on the organizational side.
The garage sale phenomenon has indeed attracted many people. Until persuading the organizers to postpone it until March 2025, on a date still to be fixed.
