The international Bürgenstock summit is ending, and for two leaders, the pressure is falling even more than for the others. Viola Amherd and Ignazio Cassis, because it is indeed them, supported and built the organization for almost six months, through dozens of meetings, visits, telephone interviews and sessions with their counterparts from around the world. Their teams of collaborators have of course supported them considerably. But the pressure was weighing on the President of the Confederation and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. These faced criticism and skepticism, whether within or outside our borders, and served as a target, if we think of Russia’s primitive verbal attacks against Viola Amherd.
