From Tuesday June 18 to Friday June 28, the village of Carsac-Aillac invites you to discover the world of mills through a series of events organized in collaboration with the town’s cultural department, the 7 Aprèm association, the Périgord Association of friends of the mills (Apam) and the Association of mills of Périgord noir (AMPN). On the program, ten days of fun and cultural activities for all ages.

Tuesday, June 18, at 6 p.m., in the municipal council room, the opening of a “special milling” painting exhibition will take place. There will also be donations of books for the media library’s “special mills” fund. On Wednesday June 19, in the town hall’s wedding hall, a fun exhibition on milling heritage will be presented. The same day, a manual windmill manufacturing workshop will take place at the media library.

Saturday June 22 at 9 a.m., a guided hike will start from the peasant market in the direction of the Neuf mill (registration at 05 53 31 52 00). On Wednesday June 26 at 10 a.m., a “BB readers” session will be held at the media library, intended for under 5s and entitled “Turn, turn, little mill”. At 9 p.m., Le Séchoir, the performance hall nestled in the small town of Aillac, will open its doors for a performance of the play “Mourir pour un moulin à vent”, performed by the Cie du Moulin à mots. Finally, Friday June 28, there will be the unveiling of the “special milling” painting exhibition, followed by a friendly drink.

The AMPN underlines that these 10 days of activities in Carsac-Aillac are part of new projects for 2025. In fact, the association is working fervently on a future Printemps des Moulins which should offer events over three months , until summer arrives.
