(Saint-Georges) A person was found lifeless in a residence ravaged by a fire Friday evening in Saint-Georges, in Beauce. Earlier on Saturday, the Sûreté du Québec announced that two men were missing.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the fire on Route 120 around 5 p.m.e avenue.
“For the moment we are not able to confirm his identity,” said a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Élizabeth Marquis-Guy, in an interview Saturday afternoon. His identification will be carried out to the satisfaction of the Coroner. »
The two people who were missing were a 50-year-old and a 60-year-old.
According to the SQ spokesperson, research continues.
Firefighters from the City of Saint-Georges Fire Safety Department continued to spray water on the rubble of the house for a good part of the night.
“An investigation is underway to determine the causes and circumstances of this fire. Investigators from the major crimes division of the Sûreté du Québec as well as fire scene technicians were on site this morning to continue assessing the scene,” said Mr.me Marquis-Guy.
“The investigation has only just begun, so we are not going to advance on the hypotheses […] all hypotheses are currently being considered,” indicated the SQ spokesperson.
