This is a good plan to grab! A free portrait exhibitionofcontemporary artistscan be discovered at Calais Museum of Fine Arts (Pas-de-Calais), until November 3, 2024. A proposition that has its place in a city where street art is omnipresent, and where we come across striking faces painted on the walls on many street corners.

“What beautiful faces!” New works »

“With this exhibition, the Calais Museum of Fine Arts aims to thank its donors by highlighting the works recently entered into its collections, i.e. nearly a third of the pieces exhibited,” describes the City, in a presentation of the event. And to emphasize the fact that “some have never before been seen by the public. »

The same theme naturally seems to link them, that of the portrait, an attention paid to faces and bodies. “All these pieces are modern creations and belong to contemporary art, new forms of figuration, photography and street art,” it is specified.
