It's a hard blow for the French XV before facing Japan. Damian Penaud (28 years old, 54 caps) is out of the match, which will kick off at 9:10 p.m. at the Stade de France. He will be replaced in the starting team by Pau winger, Théo Attissogbé (19 years old, 2 caps).
Penaud ill, first at home for Attissogbé
The Clermont winger is ill, which explains his withdrawal from the match. Théo Attissogbé had been sent back to Pau during the week, but the staff preferred to recall him, in view of Penaud's state of health. Attissogbé will therefore experience his first selection at home after his first two matches played this summer with the rooster's jersey in Argentina for two tries scored. An opportunity for Attissogbé to show the extent of his talent and to show that he has his place on one of the wings of the France team while Penaud and Louis Bielle-Biarrey seem well established.
